Industrial ceramic blades are zirconia machine-cutting parts for production lines processing rubber, plastics, chemical fibers, sheet materials, and other non-metallic media. They are used in automated cutting stations, production-line cutters, and industrial tooling that runs repeated cutting cycles.
Core Advantages
1100-1300 MPa Toughened Cutting Body
Standard high-purity 3Y zirconia is listed at 1100-1300 MPa flexural strength, and toughened grades are available. In cutters that repeatedly load a narrow section near the edge, the stronger ceramic body is less susceptible to fracture and edge loss under normal operating loads.
Wear Resistance in Abrasive Non-Metallic Media
The hard zirconia edge is suited to repeated cutting of rubber, plastics, chemical fibers, and other abrasive process media. Over long production runs, the edge changes more slowly as abrasive wear accumulates.
Corrosion-Free Surface in Humid and Mild Chemical Areas
Zirconia does not rust and is specified for humid conditions and mild acid-alkali exposure. Moisture or light chemical residue in washdown and process areas therefore does not leave oxide scale or corrosion pits on the cutting surface.
Customization
- Blade Dimensions
Standard industrial blade forms plus long sizes, irregular profiles, and non-standard cutting shapes.
- Mounting Structures
Special holes, slots, locating surfaces, and holder interfaces produced from equipment drawings or samples.
- Machining
Precision surface grinding, edge polishing, drilling, slotting, and non-standard profile machining.

Quality Control
Long and non-standard blade bodies are checked after sintering and before final grinding for bow, twist, cracks, and chipped corners. Flat reference checks are used when length or profile makes local distortion hard to judge by sight alone.
The full cutting edge is checked for continuity and visible chipping, while the mounting area is measured separately. Hole, slot, thickness, and seating dimensions are compared with the released drawing rather than being grouped into a single general inspection.
Finished blades undergo a final pre-shipment inspection. Accepted pieces are cleaned and counted, then packed so the cutting edges do not contact one another. Lot records are retained for trace-back.

FAQ
Q: Which shipping terms are available for industrial ceramic blades?
A: EXW, FOB, and DDP can be arranged according to contract terms.
Q: Can I order a prototype before mass production?
A: Yes. Prototype sampling is available; free samples are not provided before an order is placed.
Q: Can industrial ceramic blades be used to cut hard metal?
A: They are intended mainly for non-metallic and selected process media; hard-metal cutting requires a dedicated tool design.
Q: How should spare industrial ceramic blades be stored?
A: Keep cutting edges separated and protect the blades from impact and side loading.
