Description

Ceramic Electrical parts are 95% or 99% alumina components for electrical insulation, spacing, and structural support. Typical uses include power equipment, power-electronic assemblies, electronic instruments, and other systems that need a ceramic barrier between energized or heat-exposed parts.

Core Advantages

High Dielectric Isolation

Volume resistivity is specified at >=10^14 ohm-cm, and dielectric strength at >=15 kV/mm. In compact high-voltage assemblies, these values limit leakage through the ceramic and provide insulation between conductors separated by a narrow wall or gap.

Low Dielectric Loss at High Frequency

At 1 MHz, the dielectric constant is 9-10 and the dielectric loss tangent is <=3x10^-4. The low loss level limits dielectric heating during continuous high-frequency operation while the ceramic continues to perform as an insulator.

Alumina Stability at Elevated Temperature

The alumina body has a listed maximum working temperature of 1600°C. It can be used near heaters, hot conductors, and other thermally loaded electrical hardware without the softening or creep associated with polymeric insulation parts.

Customization

  • Geometry and Mounting Features

Curved surfaces, holes, slots, chamfers, and mounting details can follow the assembly drawing. Dimensions that control fit are set to the mating hardware.

  • Post-Sintering Finishing

Specified contact, locating, or mounting areas can be ground, polished, drilled, slotted, or chamfered after sintering.

  • Electrical Design Inputs

Operating voltage, frequency, temperature, and installation spacing are used as design inputs when selecting the material grade and insulation geometry.

Quality Control

Incoming ceramic material is checked for grade and batch identity before forming. Formed and sintered parts are then screened for shape defects, cracks, edge damage, and distortion before they move to final machining.

Finished parts are measured against the released drawing for critical dimensions, holes, slots, and mating features. When the order requires electrical verification, inspection also covers insulation resistance and withstand-voltage performance.

Final release includes appearance, quantity, and packing checks. Inspection records stay with the relevant batch, and polished or precision surfaces are separated in the package to reduce contact damage during transport.

FAQ

Q: Can you provide a sample before repeat production?

A: Yes. A prototype can be made before repeat production; free samples are normally available only after an order is placed.

Q: What payment terms do you use?

A: Standard orders: 30% deposit and 70% balance after acceptance. Custom-made orders: 50% deposit and 50% balance.

Q: Can electrical performance reports be supplied with the shipment?

A: Yes. Electrical performance test reports can be supplied with each shipment.

Q: Can multiple electrical-insulator models be included in one order?

A: Yes. Multiple models or specifications can be combined in one project.
