Precision Machined Ceramic Parts are alumina, zirconia, silicon nitride, or silicon carbide components finished after sintering by grinding, lapping, polishing, drilling, or turning. They are used in precision equipment, automation assemblies, positioning systems, sealing interfaces, and other installations where the final geometry must match a controlled drawing.
Core Advantages
Micron-Level Dimensional Control
Finished dimensional accuracy is specified at ±0.005 to ±0.01 mm. This range is used for bearing seats, locating diameters, concentric interfaces, and other close-fit features that control assembly alignment and clearance.
Controlled Working-Surface Finish
Surface roughness can be finished to Ra 0.1-0.8 µm. Sliding, sealing, positioning, and precision contact faces receive the finish needed to reduce high spots and abrupt surface variation at the mating interface.
Fine Holes and Threaded Features
The minimum listed machined hole diameter is 0.2 mm, internal or external threads are available from M2 upward, and the maximum machining envelope is 300 x 200 x 150 mm. Small bores and threaded details can therefore be combined with larger precision faces in the same component.
Customization
- Feature Geometry
Outer and inner diameters, thicknesses, flat faces, bores, slots, and stepped profiles are defined from the released drawing.
- Assembly Interface Layout
Locating diameters, concentric seats, mating faces, and mounting features can be matched to the dimensions of the surrounding assembly.
- Edge and Transition Details
The drawing can specify chamfers, edge breaks, slot transitions, and other local finishing details needed for assembly or handling.

Quality Control
Sintered blanks are checked for cracks, edge chipping, distortion, and defects that could open during precision machining. Machining follows the released drawing, with critical features controlled to the stated drawing tolerance rather than a generic shop tolerance.
Critical dimensions are measured with coordinate or other precision dimensional equipment selected for the geometry. Where surface finish is specified, working faces are also checked with surface-roughness measurement equipment.
Final inspection covers finished geometry, required surface condition, quantity, and cleanliness. The results stay linked to the production batch and can be supplied with the shipment when requested.
FAQ
Q: What is the delivery time?
A: Standard products are normally scheduled about 48 days after sample confirmation; custom lead time depends on quantity and approval timing.
Q: Which shipping terms can you support?
A: EXW, FOB, and DDP can be arranged according to the contract.
Q: Are the critical machining operations completed in-house?
A: Yes. Critical grinding, lapping, polishing, drilling, and turning operations are completed in-house.
Q: Can an imported or existing ceramic part be localized from a physical sample?
A: Yes. A physical sample can be used as the reference for replacement development.
