Description

PV System Ceramic Components are used on the power-generation side of photovoltaic installations, not on the cell-manufacturing line. Applications include inverters, combiner boxes, junction boxes, tracking systems, and energy-storage assemblies where the ceramic part provides an electrical or structural interface outdoors.

Core Advantages

≥10^13 Ω·cm Volume Resistivity

Volume resistivity is ≥10^13 Ω·cm. In outdoor electrical enclosures and power-conversion assemblies, the ceramic acts as an insulating body between energized and grounded structures, including in humid or dusty service conditions.

≤0.1% Water Absorption Across -40 to 1300°C

Water absorption is ≤0.1% and the listed service-temperature range is -40 to 1300°C. The low-porosity ceramic takes up little moisture in rain, condensation, or freezing conditions and limits the moisture-driven dimensional change associated with more absorbent materials.

Customization

  • Material

PV system parts can be made in alumina or steatite, depending on the electrical, thermal, and structural requirement.

  • Geometry and Installation Interface

The released drawing or confirmed sample can define thickness, hole pattern, slots, shoulders, support faces, and mounting interfaces.

  • Part Development Route

New parts and replacements can be developed from customer drawings or prototypes. Forming, firing, machining, and inspection are then planned around the required finished geometry.

Quality Control

When damp-heat or insulation requirements are part of the product specification, outdoor-service batches are checked for those items separately from the dimensional inspection of the mechanical interface.

Before release, finished parts are checked for mounting dimensions, holes, slots, mating faces, edge condition, and visible damage. The approved drawing, specification, or confirmed sample is used as the acceptance basis.

Final inspection is completed before packing and the batch remains traceable through its records. Third-party inspection can be arranged. Packing keeps exposed ceramic edges and mating surfaces separated during transport.

FAQ

Q: Can I get a sample before placing a repeat order?

A: Yes. Samples can be supplied before repeat production.

Q: Can shipping terms be agreed by contract?

A: Yes. Shipping terms can be agreed in the sales contract.

Q: What outdoor service life is listed for these components?

A: The listed outdoor service life is ≥20 years.

Q: How does UV exposure affect these ceramics?

A: UV resistance is listed as excellent. The ceramic is inorganic and does not undergo polymer-style UV aging.
