Description

High Precision Ceramic Components are machined alumina, zirconia or silicon nitride parts for assemblies that need closely controlled dimensions and finished surfaces. They are used in photovoltaic equipment and other precision mechanisms where small holes, aligned features and close-fitting ceramic interfaces are part of the functional design.

Core Advantages

Minimum Tolerance of ±0.005 mm

Minimum tolerance is ±0.005 mm. In positioning, alignment and close-fit assemblies, this allows a ceramic datum to be matched directly to surrounding geometry when only a few hundredths of a millimeter can change clearance or preload.

Surface Roughness of Ra 0.2–0.8 μm

Surface roughness is Ra 0.2–0.8 μm. Sliding, sealing, locating and repeated-contact faces can be given a controlled finish so the mating part runs on a consistent machined track rather than a rough sintered surface.

Customization

  • Machinable Materials

Machinable materials include alumina, zirconia and silicon nitride. Selection follows the required mechanical, thermal or insulating duty.

  • Machining Envelope

Maximum machining size is 200 × 200 × 150 mm, and holes can be produced down to 0.3 mm in diameter. Within that envelope, drawings can combine bores, slots, steps, recesses and closely spaced features.

  • Machining Processes

Turning, milling, grinding and polishing are available after the appropriate forming and sintering route. Feature access and finished-surface requirements are reviewed before the machining sequence is set.

Quality Control

Inspection is carried out against the released drawing using the CMM and profile-projector capability listed for this product line. Critical dimensions are measured from the functional datums, not only from the overall part envelope.

Small holes, narrow slots, closely spaced features and finished surfaces are checked after machining for geometry, chips and local edge damage. Parts outside the released dimensional or surface requirement are separated before shipment.

Each High Precision Ceramic Component remains traceable to its production batch, raw-material batch and inspection record. This keeps the measured result connected to the manufacturing history for repeat production or later dimensional review.
